Subject:  2010 CAMP?

I wonder if you have a camp planned for 2010?  My daughter's counselor has suggested this might be an awesome way for her to deal with her father's passing.  Your website either doesn't have up coming events or I am unable to find them at this time.  Any informaiton you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

A friend of mine, Rene Lagemann, was a volunteer this past weekend at Trails for Hope for the second year in a row. I really wasn’t aware that anything like this existed until he shared with me his experience as a volunteer. What a wonderful thing it is to know that there are places for our young people to attend and to learn that they are not the only ones who are feeling the way they do. At least with a camp like yours - one that provides nurturing and caring, the tools to learn how to cope better and the love and understanding from their 'buddies' it can only provide a refuge and escape as well as an understanding that they can and will survive the ordeal they've been forced to deal with and they don’t have to do it alone. Kudos to those who are providing these children with this opportunity to attend such a wonderful camp, you all deserve a big hand. To all you volunteers, WOW!! What a difference you make in these children's lives. You are truly a blessing. Keep up the fantastic job and may God bless you as you continue to help these young people as they struggle to understand their loss and learn that they are not alone in this world but their feelings are completely validated and they have a right to them. I’m sure there have been many lives saved through your program. Good luck and don’t quit what you’re doing. It’s truly a wonderful thing.

My grand daughter, Brooke Dahlenburg is 12 years old and her Mother, Grandmother and Grandfather all died with in the same year. She has become very attached to her father. The idea of going to camp was a reason for tears everyday up till the evening that she went. Her teachers at school were really worried about her and called several times to let us know that she was very unhappy about going to camp. She now knows that the camp was GREAT and that she can be without her dad, that a buddy at the camp helped her to enjoy the camp to the fullest. Thank you for helping Brooke.

Although my sons were sceptical at first about attending camp they had a great time and are happy to know they are not alone in the loss of their dad. This was so great for them and everyone involved was so professional, fun and organized it made it great for the campers and the parents/guardians. THANK YOU!

My son Kobie needed this camp to show him that he isn't alone! He told me about other campers that have lost their father too. He has came back from camp so excited and happy about the experience. Kobie definately wants to return in 2008! I can't thank you all enough for making this camp possible for all the kids to see that there is hope!!
